FAQ

We're glad you had a question. Because we are here to provide you with answers.

How far is Rise Gathering from Philadelphia and NYC?

Rise, located at Camp Canadensis, is about 2 hours from both Philadelphia and NYC.

Is there any transportation provided?

There will not be transportation provided but it would be our pleasure to help connect you with others and coordinate car pools to and from the event.

Is there an airport nearby?

Lehigh Valley International Airport is 50 miles south of Camp Canadensis. We will provide a van to transport you to and from the airport on select times both Friday and Sunday.  Please let us know your flight arrival and departure in advance.

What time does Rise Gathering begin?

Check in for Rise begins at 4pm on Friday, May 12th. You can enjoy the grounds, wander and settle in until the first opening activity begins at 5:00pm.

Can I leave early?

Although attendees are allowed to leave early, we strongly encourage you to stay for the entire experience. Rise is packed with so much goodness that if you are planning on leaving early, you’ll probably want to change your mind. We recommend that you plan accordingly and enjoy the entire experience. If you need to leave early, please inform us before Rise begins.

What are the accommodations?

Canadensis is a camp in the summer months and a full retreat center for adult groups in the fall and spring.  Accommodations for your Rise experience are shared cabins. You will be close to nature in your safe and cozy bunk and fall asleep to the quiet sounds of the mountains. Each cabin has 10 to 15 wood framed twin beds, electrical outlets, as well as private showers and bathrooms. The cabins are clean, spacious and overlook the lake. We know this type of living is very different from your day to day, so we invite you to be open to the opportunity to connect with a community close to nature for the weekend.

You can bunk with your friends and family by providing us with the names of those women when you purchase your ticket.

There is also limited availability for private bunks. These bunks have a queen size bed and private bathroom and can be shared with one other person.

Is there a packing list for Rise Gathering?

We’re glad you asked. Here’s our packing list for Rise Gathering 2017. Remember, the most important thing to bring is your self!

Will I need to bring my own linens?

It’s up to you – rent or bring! Will I be home in time for Mother's Day?

Absolutely! Part of the celebration of this weekend is for all of you mothers! This is about you taking time for you to fill up for all your loved ones. But yes, Rise ends at 10am Sunday morning so you can be home to be celebrated by your families.

Why is this on Mother's Day Weekend?

We think it’s so appropriate to hold this type of event on Mother’s Day to honor us women. We also want this to be an opportunity for you to take time for yourself as we know how necessary that is to be your best you.

This is also a great experience for you to have with your mother! What a way to celebrate life together.

Will there be additional expenses once I get there?

Nope! But there will be a “canteen” with tons of awesome items for you to purchase if you desire.

What kind of food will be served?

All food has been selected to give you the most freshly prepared, wholesome nourishment through your experience. Our menu is mostly organic, sourcing the highest quality ingredients from the local area for you to enjoy a high vibe, environmentally conscious weekend with ideas to bring home.
